Shoreview continues to uphold its reputation as a premier community, with the 2025 community survey indicating that 96% of residents rate the quality of life as either excellent or good. This places Shoreview at the top among 20 local peer cities surveyed by Polco.
Survey Highlights
The survey, conducted between August and October 2025, gathered responses from 574 households, achieving a 19% response rate. An additional 237 residents participated in an open survey. Key findings include:
- 97% of residents view Shoreview as an excellent or good place to live.
- 94% feel a strong sense of safety within the community.
- 79% express satisfaction with the overall direction of the city.

Top Rankings Among Peer Cities
Shoreview ranked first in over 30 areas compared to local peer cities, including:
- Quality of parks and recreation opportunities.
- Availability of paths and walking trails.
- Quality of natural environment.
These results underscore the city’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing amenities that contribute to residents’ well-being.
